Connie J. Seymour, PT, PhD, OCS
My initial clinical education and training was completed through the Army-Baylor University multi-service program
in physical therapy. I spent 10 years in the military serving in various capacities. I’m in my 22nd year teaching
at a local University. My clinical background is varied with certifications in treating the neurologically involved
client to orthopedics. I am certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy
Association (APTA). I continue to practice as a generalist but especially enjoy working with neurological, orthopedic,
and geriatric clients. I am very involved with the Healthy Elder Living Program (HELP) which is an interdisciplinary
program designed to promote health and fitness in older community dwelling adults. Additionally, I am part of a maintenance
intervention for neurologically involved individuals from the Greater Merrimack Valley.
In my leisure time you’ll find me walking my dog, gardening, biking, kayaking or watching various sporting events.
I also love to tinker around the house, working on several repair projects in the summer and during winter breaks. Lastly, I hail from Southern California where the climate is great all year round. Occasionally I return to visit relatives and enjoy the weather, but the lifestyle is much too fast for my taste.
